What is longevity?

Longevity expert, Dr. Peter Attia, defines longevity as a function of both lifespan and healthspan. According to him, longevity is not just about the number of years one lives (lifespan) but also about the quality of life during those years (healthspan).

How is longevity different from traditional medicine?

Traditional medicine has been successful in treating acute diseases but less effective against chronic or long-term diseases such as cancer or heart disease. In contrast, the concept of "Medicine 3.0" represents a paradigm shift in healthcare, focusing on four main points: a greater emphasis on prevention rather than treatment, treating the patient as a unique individual, starting with an honest assessment and acceptance of risk, and paying more attention to maintaining healthspan - the quality of life, in addition to lifespan.

Can Milvia's test help me detect early sings of disease?

A lot of common diseases come from aging. We use specific markers to spot early signs of these age-related diseases. Here's a list of conditions where we can find early warning signs:
• Anemia
• Nutritional deficiencies
• Thyroid disorders
• Infections and inflammatory conditions
• Bone marrow disorders
• Liver diseases
• Kidney function
• Heart disease and risk factors
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Diabetes
• Hormonal imbalances
• Autoimmune diseases
• Cancer

How does Milvia's test differ from my annual physical?

Our test offers a more detailed analysis than the standard annual physical, covering almost 60 biomarkers related to heart, thyroid, immune system, hormones, brain, metabolism, bone, and skin health.

Unlike typical physicals that mainly check for diseases, our assessment provides deeper insights to enhance your current wellbeing and prevent future illnesses.

Additionally, each assessment includes a 30-minute session with a clinician to go over your results, ask any questions, and receive personalized protocols and supplements.

Are there any side effects of taking a blood test?

Our testing procedure requires a quick and straightforward blood draw, which might result in slight discomfort or a small bruise where the needle was inserted. Beyond this, there are no recognized adverse effects associated with the process.

How to prepare for my blood test?

It is recommend to fast for 8-12 hours prior to the test, consuming only water. Not fasting before the test may lead to higher readings of certain levels.

Is this blood test covered by my insurance?

At this time we do not accept insurance, health savings accounts (HSA), health reimbursement accounts (HRA), or flexible spending accounts (FSA).
